Quick Strawberry Cream Cheese Danish
I bought a really small cast iron pan at a swap meet, and I think it’s the cutest thing! Don’t blame me because I couldn’t resist it when I saw it, but wasn’t sure what to do with it once I got it home. Then the wheels started turning and the idea that a quick strawberry cream cheese Danish would hit the spot this afternoon.
Then it hit me…it would be perfect for those times when it was just me. Me looking for a sweet treat, a quick breakfast, or whatever struck my fancy. It’s simply adorable!
Especially for a quick strawberry cream cheese Danish. Did my star’s align? Could I pull it off without going to the grocery? I had all the key ingredients on hand for a quick strawberry cream cheese Danish. Lucky me!
This post is designed to be easy, quick, and serving up delish goodies for one! Kind of like an express post…a short film…fun for everyone!
Let’s get started…
Thaw some Phyllo pastry dough that will fit into the pan of your choice. Then slice some strawberries…hmmm…about one cup with 1/8 cup of sugar…heat until sugar is dissolved.
Combine three ounces of softened cream cheese with one tablespoon of powdered sugar, and 1/8 teaspoon of vanilla.
Butter your pan, pat the pastry into the pan, smooth the cream cheese over pastry, top with berries, and drizzle some strawberry juice over the top.
This will make two, one for now and one for later! 🙂
Bake in a preheated 400 degree oven for 10-12 minutes. Enjoy this sweet, easy, and quick to make breakfast or anytime treat!
*Tip: I brushed the pastry at the end with melted unsalted butter! So good!
