Smoked BBQ Chicken Wings

A simple recipe for smoked BBQ chicken wings that can done on your smoker or your grill! Great for you next block party, office potluck, or meal prep for the week!

Ingredients

  • 3 pounds chicken wings and drummettes
  • 3-4 tablespoons poultry seasoning may substitute with salt and pepper or leave plain
  • 1/2 cup buffalo style hot sauce

Instructions

  • Place wings into a bowl, and sprinkle seasoning on the meat until well dusted. Set aside
  • Preheat smoker or grill to 225-250 degrees. If using a grill prepare smoker box prior to preheating, and place directly over heat source. 
  • Place wings on rack in a position furthest away from heat source for an indirect cook. 
  • Cook about two hours, or until internal temperature is 165-degrees. 
  • Remove chicken to a plate, cover with foil, and rest for ten minutes prior to serving. If desired, toss with buffalo style hot sauce and serve immediately. 

Notes

Can be refrigerated for up to a week. To reheat, warm gently in a 200-degree oven until warm.
