Air Fryer Bacon Scallops are very easy and turn out perfectly cooked every time! These work well as an appetizer or entree for any occasion. Sprinkled with Cajun seasoning and wrapped in bacon these are done in 20-minutes.
Cut bacon in half. Place bacon in the air fryer basket and cook 3 minutes at 375 degrees. Remove bacon and wrap each scallop in one slice bacon before securing with a toothpick.
Pat the scallops dry with a paper towel and set aside on a plate. Sprinkle Cajun seasoning evenly over scallops.
Wrap each scallop in a piece of bacon. Secure with a toothpick if needed.
Spritz scallops lightly with cooking spray and place in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook 10 minutes, turning halfway through cooking time.
These are best eaten immediately but can be stored in the refrigerator for up to two days after cooking. Reheat in a pan on the stovetop for two minutes over medium heat.
Oven Instructions
Pat the scallops dry and season with Cajun seasoning.
Wrap a piece of bacon around each scallop and secure it with a toothpick.
Broil for 10-15 minutes or until the bacon is crispy.
Notes
Scallops should be cooked to an internal temperature of 130 degrees.Choose the largest scallops you can afford for this recipe.For this recipe, use regular bacon instead of thick-cut bacon. Thick-cut bacon takes too long to cook, and the scallops will dry out from the lengthy cooking time.
